Crocheting a Summer Necklace

I really don't know why I am attracted to any shade of green that when I saw Oombawka Design's Forever Summer Necklace and Bracelet set, deciding to make one was no effort at all. Maybe because in my mind, I imagined having a similar color of thread and beads in my stash. Great! It didn't take long for me to assemble the needed materials. I made two strands of necklace that I immediately gave to a friend before I could take good photos of them. Now I'm preparing this post. Too late for me to realize that. So is there any better idea than making a new one? Thread, plenty. Beads, more than enough. I remember buying additional packs recently. I don't want to run out of green beads ;) Here, take a look... So, how do you like it? Actually, that's just one necklace photographed in three different views. After making the Sweetheart Beaded Choker the first time, I was so inspired that I told myself, "I'm definitely going to ...

Simple and Easy Crocheted Friendship Necklace

Inspired by Oombawka Design , I attempted to make my own version using almost the same color but different shapes for the bead frame and the beads. This is what came out. I wanted to send a gift to an old friend but I've been going home late from work. I didn't have much time to go out and buy something so I browsed through my Pinterest board, Crochet Patterns I Like . The goal was to look for a pattern that I could do in one sitting because the kind lady who offered to bring the gift was leaving the following day. I had to finish it before my eyelids drop for the night. Oombawka Design's pattern for the Simply Easy Crochet Necklace was exactly what I was looking for. Simple and easy to make, indeed, it was! Instead of the usual friendship bracelet as souvenir, a friendship necklace it has become. Symbolizing a long-lasting relationship, I thought the circular bead frame I found from my stocks was just perfect! Not only that, the chain around the neck could be...

3 Necklace Cords and a Flower Applique

Hello there! I'm already sleepy but I couldn't resist posting this. I need some advice. You see, I made all these stuff at different times in the past.  All WIPs that still need just a few finishing touches.  I'm a collector of flowers, I admit, especially of roses. But for the flowers here, I used the pattern of 5-Petal Crochet Flower by One Dog Woof. For the leaves, I used the Irish Oranges pattern of Annette Petavy from Crochetme.com. Lastly, for the necklace cords, I used two different patterns--- How to Make a Necklace Cord   from Crochet Flowers and Corkscrew Spiral Necklace by Pompom Emporium. I promised a friend that I will give her a crocheted necklace. My dilemma is I don't know which necklace cord to give her. I'm also planning to unfasten the leaves from the flowers to give it another look. Help! I need some of your most precious opinion please!!!!! Enjoy the coming week! ========= Linking to:

The Crochet Dynamite

Looking for an explosive? in crochet bloggerdom, I mean? Search the net, if you will and find there's only one... that's Jaime Maraia. I'm a follower of her blog site, Crochet Dynamite . Last month, she featured her Recycled Rose Necklace which has caught my attention. As I was looking for a gift for an old friend, I just found the necklace very enticing! Who wouldn't be? Look at this! Photo of Jaime Maraia, the Crochet Dynamite For my work, I also used yellow and pink yarn because I really love the one Jaime was wearing!    But I didn't recycle the yarn... promise! Look, I still have plenty in my stash...   And I didn't have an old necklace string so I decided to use silver and gold elastic bands which I just tied at the ends.  Thanks to your post, Jaime, a product of your explosive mind. I really love this! I just hope I'd see Gerald (short for Geraldine) wearing this one of these days. She said she will look for a perfect match s...

Crochet Necklace

For this post, I'm featuring the  Crochet Necklace by Creativeyarn from Crochetme.com. Photo from Crochetme.com I made one like this last year which is featured in my post entitled, " Holiday Season Crochet Marathon Part 3 ." I used black so that it would match any color of blouse or dress. I like this crochet necklace so much that I couldn't resist making another one now. This time, of similar color as the original design as featured by Creativeyarn. Forgive me for the photography...  For its embellishment, I used the pattern of Art Threads in making large and small petals. It's the same pattern I used for the flowers I featured in the Flower Necklace . Then, instead of using a button at the center of the flower (see original design from first photo), I crocheted an apple green bud using the pattern from Crochet Flower Fridgies to enhance the effect. I also sewed a small bead from a broken bracelet to fit into the button hole.    So ho...
