My Man of Steel

I have always liked and admired Superman since the very first time. I've watched the movie not only once, twice or thrice... I have lost count, actually. I have also watched all the succeeding episodes--- be it Christopher Reeve still in Superman II and Superman III, Dean Cain (with Teri Hatcher) in the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman TV series of the 90s, or Brandon Routh in the Superman Returns. Billy, my husband, would always call me every time any of these Superman movies appear on TV. He knows how an avid fan of Superman I have become! :) And now, here comes Henry Cavill as the new super hero in the Man of Steel.  Photos from Google.com Well, I believe it's about time we watch another Superman movie after seven years! I missed the old Superman theme song in the movie, I admit, but I was able to appreciate the Christian undertones in various scenes, to the ire of some critics. 3 Necklace Cords and a Flower Applique

Hello there! I'm already sleepy but I couldn't resist posting this. I need some advice. You see, I made all these stuff at different times in the past.  All WIPs that still need just a few finishing touches.  I'm a collector of flowers, I admit, especially of roses. But for the flowers here, I used the pattern of 5-Petal Crochet Flower by One Dog Woof. For the leaves, I used the Irish Oranges pattern of Annette Petavy from Crochetme.com. Lastly, for the necklace cords, I used two different patterns--- How to Make a Necklace Cord   from Crochet Flowers and Corkscrew Spiral Necklace by Pompom Emporium. I promised a friend that I will give her a crocheted necklace. My dilemma is I don't know which necklace cord to give her. I'm also planning to unfasten the leaves from the flowers to give it another look. Help! I need some of your most precious opinion please!!!!! Enjoy the coming week! ========= Linking to:

Beholding the Beauty of Nature at Caliraya

I also mentioned that I will feature the resort in a separate post. Well, this is it... Let me tell you about this place . Caliraya Resort Club is situated on top of the mountains along the Caliraya Lake shoreline.  Lake Caliraya is a man-made lake located in the municipality of Lumban in the province of Laguna, Philippines. This was my 3rd visit to the place after many years and until now, I'm still amazed at how this man-made lake came about. Lake Caliraya The lake, created in 1939, has a unique location that offers a breathtaking view of nature and has become a haven for the mind, body and spirit as the vast expanse of greenery provides various fun-filled activities such as water sports and outdoor recreation including fishing.   Caliraya Resort is just a few-minute-ferry-boat rid...
