I just find this poem by Madame Guyon beautiful! One of my favorites... featured in today's Streams in the Desert Daily Devotional...
A little bird I am,
Shut from the fields of air,
And in my cage I sit and sing
To Him who placed me there;
Well pleased a prisoner to be,
Because, my God, it pleaseth Thee.
My cage confines me round,
Abroad I cannot fly,
But though my wing is closely bound,
My soul is at liberty;
For prison walls cannot control
The flight, the freedom of the soul.

As the bird in this cage, I dare you be a prisoner. Be one, that is, in Christ Jesus! For Ephesians 4:1 says, "As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received."
Happy weekend everyone!
This is beautiful. I have a link party called Wednesdays Adorned From Above Link Party and would love to have you share this with everyone. Here is the link to the party.
