A blessed Resurrection Sunday!
Hello, how did you celebrate the Holy Week? Did you visit churches or do the Stations of the Cross as many people do? A lot of friends send, using the social media, messages on the significance of Christ’s death on the Cross of Calvary.
Here, I’m also featuring the cross... I mean, the Lacy Cross. That is, the Lacy Cross Crochet Bookmark I made, inspired by the pattern I got from Petals to Picots.
The Lacy Cross Crochet Bookmark
I made this Lacy Cross Crochet Bookmark three years ago. I posted a photo of this in Ig and FB, then gave the finished product as a gift to a dear sister in the Lord. I didn’t have a chance to feature it in my blog before until it surfaced in my FB memories lately, so I thought now is the best time to blog about it.
Crocheting this bookmark gave me lessons on patience and determination. Patience because I made several mistakes along the way so I had to frog (unravel or rip out) the stitches several times before getting the project done. Oh, I didn’t say I succeeded at following the directions to the letter. Sorry, Kara, the first Lacy Cross I made was without mistake. I was almost done when I realized I missed some steps so it was a total trial and error experiment. I just don’t know if the recipient noticed the error. đ€Șđ€Șđ€Ș Determination because the mistakes I made in my first try called for a second cross which was a successđđđ but I failed to take a photo of it before I gave it again to another friend.
Thank you, Kara, for sharing your pattern!
Thank you, Kara, for sharing your pattern!
Well, I believe it would be very timely for me to post this now in time for Easter with these verses:
“...and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”
- 1 Peter 2:24
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
- Isaiah 53:5
Praises to God because He who was nailed on the cross has risen from the grave. Praises to God because our Saviour is alive, seated at the right hand of God the Father and in heaven glorified!
It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kara. So glad you shared your pattern!
